Magical Balancer

The electro-pneumatic balancer “Magical Balancer” supports safe and smooth handling of heavy workpieces through a hybrid control system combining electricity and compressed air.

It automatically switches between two modes—grip operation and manual operation—naturally following the operator’s movements.

Mode transitions are indicated by both sound and light, ensuring safe and reliable operation. A load weight is detected during the grip operation, and it supports handling heavy workpieces.

In addition to its safety design that prevents workpieces from falling even if electricity and air supply are terminated*, it is also equipped with a snap back arrest mechanism.

It greatly improves work eciency across a wide range of applications, including assembly, setting and replacement work.

*Except when using the suction end effector

1. Reduce the weight burden of the repetitive tasks

In the factory, the oil is poured into 18-liter cans and then weighed.

The weighing process requires that the can be moved from the conveyor belt to the scale and back again. This process is labor-intensive,physically hard and repetitive.

Because the ENDO Magical Balancer reduces the weight burden while allowing workers to still maneuver the 18-liter cans by hand, it makes the work more accessible to and safer for all workers.

Employing the ENDO Magical Balancer in this process has made the work safer, less labor-intensive and easier for workers of all abilities to perform.

2.  Time-saving and increase the work efficiency

Palletizing heavy carton boxes is physically difficult, and there is also a risk of injury, so workers who are physically able to perform this duty are limited.

By using the ENDO Magical Balancer and Vacuum gripper, all workers can easily stack carton boxes with minimal effort.

The Vacuum gripper for carton boxes allows for the transfer of two carton boxes at once, dramatically reducing work time.

It allows safe and neat palletizing without damaging the boxes because only the top of the carton box is sucked up and lifted and easily maneuvered into place.

3. Safe handling of workpieces

Transferring long FRP pipes required multiple people previously, but with the employing Magical Balancer, safe transfer is now possible with one person.

This has significantly improved work speed and increased productivity.

To improve safety when transferring long FRP pipes to processing machines, pneumatic stoppers have been installed on the rails to suppress suspended the Magical Balancer and the FRP pipe’s swinging.

Furthermore, with custom-made suction end effectors that can handle workpieces with curved surfaces, it enables the stable and safe transfer of FRP products.

4. Combination of Cobot

The Magical Balancer supports the weight of the workpieces being transported, making it possible to keep collaborative robots compact and affordable.

The Magical Balancer smoothly follows the robot's movements.
